It was his first since May 24, and he's brought back quickly and sent an additional furlong by trainer Mike Maker. The horse to beat with Castellano back on the re-ride.
2nd pick: #4 (Fundamental) (5-2) - Lightly raced grey colt has been freshened up since May 29. He ran evenly that day at Belmont going a mile in his first facing winners. Son of 'Arch' broke his maiden at this distance April 18 at Aqueduct and gets the addition of blinkers from trainer Chad Brown.
3rd pick: #6 (The Catmancan) (8-1) - Price play moves way up in class after an impressive maiden win at Belmont going 8.5-furlongs for a $75K tag July 17. Speed/stalker is clearly improving, and the added distance should be a plus.
4th pick: #3 (Tiz Town) (6-1) - Stalker comes off a career best at Belmont July 11. Racing at this level and distance in first facing winners, he checked in 4th of seven, beaten almost two lengths. In shape, working well, and must be left in the mix.
