Top pick: #6 (STEVE'S KITTEN) - Son of "Kitten's Joy" finished second in a large field (10) at Ellis Park sprinting on July 12. She has a trio of local drills since then and is stretched-out in distance this afternoon by her barn (Wesley Ward).
2nd pick: #5 (Trippo) - I believe he's been pointed to the turf for some time now. Debut sprinting on the Belmont dirt saw him race close-up and then have some traffic issues. Big work on the local turf suggests he's ready to roll.
3rd pick: #4 (Chairman Now) - Exits the same Belmont race as "Trippo". He lost all chance after breaking poorly that day. Has a pair of grass works for this and the longer distance should help his cause. Prado stays put.
4th pick: #1 (Drosselmeyer) - Son of "Distorted Humor" cost $600,000 and has some nice local drills. Draws the hedge and if he breaks cleanly that's a big plus. Runs for the hot duo of Mott/Desormeaux.
