Top pick: #6 (I'LL TAKE CHARGE) (3-1) - She's very lightly-raced and cost a whopping $2,200,000 as a Keeneland fall yearling back in 2013. Brought along slowly by trainer Bill Mott, filly was an easy maiden winner going 7-furlongs on a sloppy surface at Belmont June 28. Barn has freshened her up a bit and has her trying a longer trip going around two-turns for the first time. This race will give us a much better example as to her talent level.
2nd pick: #3 (Mei Ling) (7-2) - This one cost $500K and enters off a career best July 16 at Belmont. Racing at this level going a mile, she battled from start-to-finish and held gamely to finish second, beaten a length. Much improved since coming back from a long layoff and joining the barn of Todd Pletcher. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Jet Majesty) (6-1) - The probable main speed, filly has been on the sidelines since May 23. Four-year-old broke her maiden here a year ago on the turf, then ran second at this level in a 7-furlong contest four weeks later. Must be considered a win candidate.
4th pick: #1 (Just Got Out) (15-1) - A three-time winner overall, she ships up from Philly Park where she was a daylight winner going a mile facing mid-level starter-allowance foes July 4. A career best, it came in her second off a Jeremiah Englehart claim. In shape and this improving 4-year-old has the rail. Price play.
