Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (BARTLEBY) (4-1) - NEW gelding is racing for the first time since late May and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Stalker ran well on the Belmont grass facing tougher before his layoff and gets a slight edge if ready.
nd pick: #2 (Mr Massena) (9-2) - Another NEW gelding, he has fine early speed and a good inside post to use it from. Working fast and 3-year-old is a threat to take this field from start-to-finish.
rd pick: #5 (Wondermeister) (6-1) - One of two entered by trainer Leah Gyarmati, strong finisher has been freshened up since June 24. He's finished close up in both grass races at this level and must be left in the mix.
th pick: #10 (Uncle Chester) (6-1) - The second of the Gyarmati maidens, he's picked up minor awards in eight of his 12 starts on the grass, all facing tougher. Fits with his best if able to avoid a wide trip from his outside post.
th pick: #8 (Set Me Up) (5-1) - From the Pletcher barn, he's another dropping into a claimer for the first time. Well backed in all three starts, he can factor but will be over-bet in this spot.
