Top pick: #2 (RUNAWAY POSSE) (3-1) - Strong finisher enters off a daylight win on the Belmont turf going 7-furlongs June 25. He's been sharp in five straight on the grass, is lightly raced, and still improving. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Talk Therapy) (20-1) - Longshot ran evenly going 7-furlongs at this level July 2 at Belmont. It was his first start since late in August of 2014. Speed/stalker has the rail, fits on 'figures,' and has a solid shot at a big price.
3rd pick: #7 (Bluegrass Flash) (15-1) - He's racing third off a five-month layoff, switches from dirt to turf, and stretches out in distance. Stalker is capable of impacting with his best.
4th pick: #4 (Point Roll) (6-1) - Very lightly raced 5yo enters off a wire-to-wire win at Belmont going a mile on the turf July 5. He looked to have a bright future back in the first half of 2014, but was sent in for a year's layoff in early July of that year. Must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #8 (Goodtolook) (15-1) - Speedy veteran has a fine overall record, but he's never come from off the pace in his career. His only shot is to try and clear off with an uncontested early lead. Dangerous if that's the case.
