Top pick: #2 (WORTH A BUCK) - He's making his 2nd start of this meet and trainer George Weaver will drop him down a bit and switch him from the turf to the dirt. Gelding raced evenly from a tough outside post here on Opening Day and draws the rail. Can take this at a nice price.
2nd pick: #6 (Mr. Bristol) - Another Kentucky shipper and last out at Churchill he rallied to finish 2nd at this price going a 1/16th shorter. In a good barn (Neil Howard) and this colt by "Gone West" is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Majestic Hope) - Lightly raced, sell-bred, and he has consistently shown good early speed. Has a fine local work July 24 and is dangerous from on, or just of the top.
4th pick: #5 (I Take Diamonds) - Another that's coming from Churchill and this grey colt has run 2nd in two of his last three at this price-tag. Home-bred has no early speed and will need some help up-front for any shot at the win.
