Top pick: #6 (BALDONNEL) (3-1) - Grey colt began his career in Ireland and was in the world class barn of Dermot Weld. Son of 'Langfuhr' broke his maiden at Gowran Park last Sept. before coming back to his country of birth. Drops off almost a two month break and trainer Chad Brown adds both blinkers and Castellano. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Transcend) (5-1) - Speed/stalker is racing second back off a 8 1/2 month layoff. He raced evenly in his return at Belmont Park July 18 and was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths at this tag and trip. Has the rail and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Lets Wrap It Up) (20-1) - Long shot has been freshened-up since July 16 when he raced evenly at this level and distance. He was bumped at the start and was never really involved. Gelding was only beaten a 'nose' in his previous start and is a stretch threat.
4th pick: #8 (Downgoesfrazier) (12-1) - Grey gelding is racing third back off a long layoff and is stretching back out in distance. Capable at this tag and trip, he's run well on this course in the past.
