Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (ALL ABOUT VOODOO) (4-1) - Colt ships up from Gulfstream Park where he was beaten a length when debuting there going 8.5 furlongs June 17. Trainer Todd Pletcher is nine for 27 (33%) at this meet and wins at a 32% rate second time out. This son of 'Eskendereya' is bred to like this longer distance (11 furlongs) and draws a ground saving post. Gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #3 (Bushmill's Legend) (15-1) - Longshot runs as a NEW gelding and with blinkers on. He's finished within range in all four starts and has had tough outside posts in each. Bred for this trip, he's a win candidate at a huge price.
rd pick: #7 (Captain Hardship) (5-1) - Bred in Kentucky, he made his first four starts in Ireland. He missed by a 'neck' there going a mile in his seasonal debut May 7, then checked in a close up 4th in his No. American debut June 30 at Laurel. In a good barn (Graham Motion), he has John Velazquez aboard.
th pick: #8 (Focus Group) (7-2) - Lightly raced son of grass specialist 'Kitten's Joy' raced both wide and evenly going a mile at this level May 21 at Belmont Park. It was his first since debuting here last August, and he's worked a half-dozen times here since June 16. He's from the top barn of Chad Brown, and Jose Ortiz is aboard. The trainer/jockey team has won at a 36% clip over the past 19 months.
th pick: #5 (Run Time) (6-1) - No speed type has rallied to finish close up in four of his last five starts. Well bred and improving, he's one of four older runners entered. A fast and/or contested pace would help his prospects out.
