Top pick: #8 (SAICHI SWEEPIN) (7-2) - Speedy mare just missed last out in the mud when racing at Belmont at this level and distance on June 5th. It was her first race in three months and she was claimed that afternoon by Greg DiPrima. She has some back class and can take this with an alert break.
2nd pick: #5 (Bridgetta) (5-2) - The probable favorite, she has a fine overall record sprinting on the dirt 16-4-5-0 and was a winner at Belmont when facing tougher on July 2nd. Back in shape following a pair of layoffs, speed/stalker retains Castellano and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Bridget Moloney) (6-1) - One-run type drops back down after tiring last out at Belmont facing tougher. Three-year-old finished second at this level and distance in her previous start and can be a big threat from just off what may be a fast and/or contested pace.
4th pick: #2 (Bird House) (5-1) - She rallied mildly last out to finish a non-threatening third, but was 1 1/2 lengths back of "Moloney". No-speed type will need a pace collapse for anything more than a minor award.
