Trainer Linda Rice wins at a 33% rate second time out, a 23% clip on the drop, and 21% on the stretch out. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Wish Upon) (5-1) - Since coming off a eight week freshening June 25, this filly has finished second in both starts at this level and distance. The latest came here Aug. 3 and that race over the track is a big plus.
3rd pick: #1 (Corey Q) (9-2) - From the barn of Chad Brown, filly has raced evenly in all tthree starts, two on the dirt and once on the turf. She has the rail and Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard.
4th pick: #6 (Grandpa's Arianna) (6-1) - Lasix is added to filly who raced evenly when debuting at this level going six furlongs on the Belmont turf July 14. Trainer George Weaver is having a solid meet and he has John Velazquez replacing Manny Franco.
5th pick: #2 (Jacqueline D) (30-1) - Big longshot has a stalking style and is stretching out in distance while going dirt to turf. She draws a good post, has blinkers added, and has been competitive in two of four on the grass in the past.
