2nd pick: #7 (Indian Gem) (5-2) - The morning line and probable favorite, she's another switching from turf to dirt. Speed/stalker was beaten just under two lengths in a local grass sprint facing tougher July 26. It was only her second start and first since finishing third when debuting here at this trip facing better Sept. 5 of 2016. A very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #10 (Desert Affair) (9-2) - Since dropping down to this level in late February, filly has gone 7-0-4-2. She finished third here Aug. 3 and did so from the 14 post. She likes this seven-furlong distance and leading rider Jose Ortiz stays aboard.
4th pick: #9 (Hansen's Help) (12-1) - Another filly by 'Hansen', she raced evenly here at this level Aug. 3 in a contest common to several others entered in this race. She lost positioning when bumped hard at the start and believe she can be competitive today at a big price.
