Top pick: #1 (MY MAN MARTY) - Monmouth invader was impressive there when winning at this price and trip July 25 in his first start back off a 9 1/2 month layoff. Has the rail, back class, and jockey Channing Hill comes here from New Jersey for the ride. Can win this at a nice price.
2nd pick: #5 (Papa Bear) - One time much classier runner drops into a career soft spot as he races for only the third time since early May of 2010. Has the best early speed, his trainer (Mike Hushion) is having a strong meet, and has this gelding spotted where he can be competitive.
3rd pick: #3 (Keechi Bullet) - Has been freshened up since an even effort on the Belmont turf June 11 and trainer Joe Imperio will drop him down a bit in price and switch him back to the dirt. Trainer likes to ride Dominguez when he thinks he has a chance at winning and that's the case this afternoon.
