Top pick: #5 (MUCH STRONGER) (3-1) - Trainer Dave Jacobson entered this meet off a record-setting run at Belmont and did not expect to do much at this meet with his mostly high-priced claimers. However, he's held his own and he moves this colt way up in price off a career best performance when winning here on July 24th. I like his chances right back.
2nd pick: #1 (The Truth and K G) (9-5) - The probable heavy favorite, he's gone 6-3-1-1 since being claimed by Rudy Rodriguez last Sept. and placed in a pair of stakes earlier this year at Aqu. Speed/stalker has the rail, is working fast, and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Two T's At Two B) (12-1) - Florida-bred won a pair of stakes last year as a 2-year-old but has not been able to duplicate that fdorm since coming off a 10 month layoff on June 8th. Speed/stalker could grab a minor share at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Where's Dominic) (10-1) - Longshot ships back from Monmouth where he tired badly in a two-turn stakes race on July 7th. Working fast, one-run sort draws a nice post and should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
