Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (ENCRYPT) (2-1) - Gelding by 'Tapit' cost $1,200,000 at Keeneland back in 2013. He's had his share of physical woes, but has finished second in three of four at this level going shorter. The McLaughlin barn, seven for 19 at the meet is stretching him out and is removing his blinkers. He gets small edge.
2nd pick: #2 (T R Crew) (7-2) - Speedy colt by 'Uncle Mo' has been sharp in two straight at Belmont just under this distance. He breaks just off the rail and is a strong win threat from on or just off the lead.
3rd pick: #3 (Southern Wild) (10-1) - Longshot moves back to the dirt following a pair of good efforts on the Churchill turf. The last time he ran on the main track, colt missed by a 1/2 length at this level April 16 at Keeneland.
4th pick: #7 (Admiral Blue) (8-1) - Trainer Leon Blusiewicz has won here in the past with lightly-raced horses. This Maryland bred has been working fast here for some time now and is racing for the first time since debuting Dec 5 at Aqueduct. His a.m. drills and the presence of Jose Ortiz indicate this colt may have some talent.
