Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (SOUPER ECHO) (6-1) - Longshot is dropping into a claimer and is racing on the grass for the first time. Live Oak homebred has good early speed, is bred for the surface switch, is racing second back following a 10 month layoff, and Jose Ortiz is aboard for the first time. Think she has a good shot at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (Diva's Revenge) (3-1) - $100K daughter of 'The Factor' is another switching to the grass after showing speed on the dirt when debuting at Belmont March 18. Trainer Linda Rice wins at a 22% rate off of long layoffs, 29% 2nd time out, and is at 18% when dropping runners into claimers for the first time.
3rd pick: #10 (Jasmine's Gem) (9-2) - Filly has finished within range in all seven lifetime starts all at a mile or longer. She's worked twice here since July 21 and draws well for her stalking style as she shortens up in distance.
4th pick: #7 (Rubellite) (10-1) - Another longshot, she tired badly when facing tougher going a mile at Belmont in an 'off the turf' contest on a very muddy surface June 28. She had shown good early speed sprinting on the turf in her previous pair and is dropping to a new low while getting back on the grass.
