Top pick: #2 (SNOW TOP MOUNTAIN) - Home-bred finished 2nd in a pair of stakes here last year and was defeated narrowly in each. She's been competitive in all four starts this season and comes here off a "troubled" 4th place finish in a stakes at Indiana Downs in late June. Training fine since and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Tarrip) - Stakes veteran can "run all day" and should find this field a bit easier than she's faced all year running in "graded" events. Mare has some positional speed and expect her to be involved from start to finish.
3rd pick: #8 (Dyani) - Another who never tires and ran well here last year in both her starts. Daughter of the mighty "Dynaformer" is fresh and fit coming off an easy win at Ellis Park July 17 in only her 2nd start of this year. Stretch threat.
