Top pick: #4 (SHE'S ALREADY) (6-5) - The card's Best Bet. Filly was rumored to be a runner before making her debut here Aug. 7. Daughter of 'Girolamo' took a lot of late betting action and never had an anxious moment. She broke on top, set a quick pace, and drew off to win by 8 1/2 lengths. She's worked fast since and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Lemon Liqueur) (7-2) - Home bred is another that won her well bet debut here July 24. Grey filly saved ground from her inside post, swung out turning for home, and drew off to score by 2 1/2 lengths. Daughter of 'Exchange Rate' draws the rail again and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Super Surprise) (5-1) - Maiden from the Pletcher barn missed by less than a length when debuting here Aug. 15. Bet down to 6-5 favoritism, she was involved from start-to-finish and had to race between horses in the final furlong. Contends today.
4th pick: #5 (Crowd Control) (6-1) - She won her debut at Belmont June 14 at odds of 17-1. Filly tired in a stakes July 19 at the same track after losing her footing at the break. Can factor, but needs to do better.
