Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (DOMINANT STRATEGY) (3-1) - Lightly raced 3yo is facing winners for the first time. He broke his maiden here going 8.5 furlongs for a $75K price tag July 20 in only his third start, and first ever on the grass. Nicely spotted by Chad Brown, and Jose Ortiz stays loyal to this improving sort.
2nd pick: #5 (Honey Don't ) (4-1) - He was very 'rank' and 'hard to handle' last out when he raced evenly here facing $50K starter-allowance foes Aug. 2. It was his first facing winners following a maiden win at Belmont June 29. Trainer Bill Mott drops him down, and gelding should factor in this spot.
3rd pick: #10 (Go Silently) (9-2) - Competitive in 12 straight starts, he finished 3rd here at this level going 8.5 furlongs Aug. 11. It was his first since coming back from the West Coast in late April, and speed/stalker should be involved every step.
4th pick: #1 (Looking Ready) (12-1) - Stretch out sprinter is dropping in class, draws the rail, and races with blinkers on. It's his first ever in a claimer, and this 3yo was stakes placed at this distance in late October at Belmont Park.
