Top pick: #8 (Jack's Work) - Races first off a claim by Ed Kenneally for $30K and the last time that he ran in a grass sprint he won by three lengths at the Fair Grounds this past winter. Gelding races off a brief layoff, but is nicely spotted by the barn as they try to get a win out of him as this meeting winds down. One-run type should get a solid pace to rally into.
2nd pick: #3 (Skinny Peter) - Moves back to the grass after a poor effort on the main track here Aug. 14. Previous start saw him miss by a neck facing tougher out of town and trainer Eric Guillot drops him in class, takes his blinkers off, and moves him back to the infield. Strong finisher is a stretch threat.
