Top pick: #7 (R LOVELY LINDSEY) (6-1) - Barn (Danny Dargan) won a stakes here Monday with a Florida shipper and this filly ships north for the same Calder conditioner (Kirk Ziadie). Heavily bet in her debut on the dirt last October, she set/pressed a very fast pace before tiring late. She has a pair of sharp local works for her return off the long absence and is dropping in class and switching to the turf. Price play.
2nd pick: #5 (Stay in Front) (5-2) - The probable favorite, she missed by a "neck" here at this distance on the grass when debuting last August. Working nicely for her return, daughter of "War Front" has a new trainer (Rudy Rodriguez 27% with new arrivals) and he drops her in class. Strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Rufus Ruth) (10-1) - "Ruth" has rallied to finish second in her last pair at Belmont when racing at this tag, going 6-furlongs. Can see her sitting on the hedge until the top of the stretch and try to close on the leaders. Not impossible considering that both "Lindsey" and "Front" are coming off of long layoffs.
4th pick: #8 (Lloyd Harbor) (15-1) - Stalker finished third last out at Belmont after chasing a very quick pace. Daughter of "Langfuhr" tired in the final furlong and was two back of "Ruth." Can grab a share at a big price.
