Top pick: #11 (AFLEET'S ACCLAIM) - Runs first off a George Weaver claim and he'll drop him down in price following a 38 day freshening. Son of "Afleet Alex" finished second the day he was taken and the horse that beat him ran second here on opening day in a solid effort. Weaver has breezed him twice on the Oklahoma training track here and he looks set for a big effort. The top pick, but box those exactas in a wide open contest.
2nd pick: #5 (Lemon Ghost) - He's part of the large contingent that Wayne Lukas has shipped here from the mid-west. Colt by "Kingmambo" cost $325K and needed to be dropped to race for $30K before he was competitive. He was much improved June 20 at Churchill in his first a 100 day break and is brought back quickly for this.
3rd pick: #1 (Lindell A.C.) - Godd horse woman (Joan Scott) has a small string here this year and this speedy gelding hasn't raced since late Dec. when he missed by a neck in a special weight contest at Tampa Bay Downs. Working fine at Keeneland before shipping here, he has the rail and runs with blinkers on. Win candidate.
4th pick: #10 (One Way to Rock) - Well-backed in his first pair last winter, New York-bred showed good early speed facing state-bred special weights. Drops into an "open" maiden claimer and makes his first start since Jan 17. Can factor if ready.
