Top pick: #2 (GIRLABOUTTOWN) (2-1) - Broman home bred was part of a heavily backed entry when debuting at Belmont at this level and distance on a sloppy track July 4th. She chased, bid to the front, then was out-finished by her barn-mate. Daughter of "A.P. Indy" has worked well since and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Verismilitude) (4-1) - One of two debuting fillies, she has some sharp works and is from a top barn (Steve Asmussen). Daughter of "Henny Hughes" was initially prepared in Kentucky, but has been here since late June. A bullet 5-furlong gate breeze on July 14th suggests her readiness.
3rd pick: #3 (Moonlight Fantasy) (5-1) - The other debuting filly, she's from the same barn (Mike Hushion) as "Girlabouttown" but race uncoupled due to different ownership. Schwartz home bred has some excellent breezes on her tab and this daughter of "Malibu Moon" is a threat if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Pretty Like Me) (6-1) - She's finished second in two straight at this level down state and has been heavily bet in both. Stalker draws a nice outside post and is from a very good barn (Jay Servis). Stretch factor.
