2nd pick: #5 (Too Early) (8-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, he was entered for the main-track-only, and trainer Linda Rice (two wins here yesterday) gets her wish. A NEW gelding, he missed by just under a length at this level going a mile Dec. 29. Training steadily, he's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Voliero) (4-1) - No speed type is racing third back from a six-month layoff and is racing on the dirt for the first time. Improving gelding has a ground-saving post and is a late threat.
