Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #10 (EVERYBODY LOVES ME) (3-1) - Filly sold for $315,000 as a 2yo in training this past April and debuted here Aug. 9 racing at this level going 5.5 furlongs. She drew the rail and was sent hard at the break to establish the early lead. She tired during the stretch run to finish 2nd to a good looking winner. Bet down to 6-5 favoritism that afternoon, she's worked since, breaks from the outside, and it's noted that Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard for this attempt.
2nd pick: #5 (Smarty Smart) (6-1) - Price play was involved in a pace duel when debuting here at this level Aug. 6. The fractions were fast, and she held until very late before tiring to be beaten just under three lengths. I think she can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #7 (Navajo) (9-2) - Debuting filly enters off a big bullet half-mile Aug. 14 on the local training track. She completed the distance on that deep surface in :48 flat, the best of 65 horses at the trip that a.m. Dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #9 (Moolah Schmoolah) (10-1) - Trainer Rudy Rodriguez had a debuting winner the other day, and he sends out this $155K daughter of 'Union Rags.' She's been in steady training here since May 19 and may factor at long odds.
