Top pick: #5 (BELLA KATERI) (5-2) - The probable favorite, 4-year-old by "Tale of the Cat" has been sharp in both starts, the latest a solid second-place finish at Belmont at this level and distance May 16th. Capable small barn (Michelle Nihei) has her working very fast locally and this 4-year-old is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Sleek) (6-1) - The main speed, Broman home bred has finished third in both starts at Belmont after coming off a 7 1/2 month layoff on May 14th. She had to be used hard early in each and should get a much more comfortable trip this afternoon. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Chasing Paradise) (7-2) - Strong finisher rallied late to "neck" "Sleek" out of the place spot last out at Belmont. Home bred has finished second in all three starts at this level since returning from a nine month layoff in early June. An obvious threat down the stretch.
4th pick: #1 (Chrissy Girl) (10-1) - Away for just over a year, mare finished a close up fourth here at this level when last in action. Working steadily for her new trainer (Bruce Levine 18% with new arrivals )and it's noted that J.J. Castellano is aboard for the first time.
