Top pick: #8 (TAPULOUS) (5-2) - Grey son of "Tapit" has been freshened up since finishing second at Belmont racing for twice this tag on May 17th. Race was his first off a Gary Contessa claim, and he has this "Triple Crown" nominee working fast and set for his maiden win.
nd pick: #5 (So Outspoken) (5-1) - Very few expensive runners ever pay their way, and this $350K gelding by "Bernardini" is offered up for $25K this afternoon. He went unclaimed at Monmouth for a $35k price-tag last out and will be going turf to dirt, and trainer Todd Pletcher has him making back-to-back starts for the first time.
rd pick: #4 (Barrister Jim) (3-1) - Speedy gelding by "Lawyer Ron" ships from Churchill where he finished second in two of three starts at their long spring/summer meet. He should be involved every step.
th pick: #3 (Great Call) (5-1) - He also comes from Churchill where he ran a career best when beaten a head there on June 9th racing at this level and distance. He has some tactical speed, a good post, and can factor with his best.
th pick: #2 (Plausibly) (15-1) - "Long winded" type has the ground saving rail, and may pick off enough late to reach the tri at a very big price.
