Top pick: #1 (Entry of 1-EVENING SHOW and 1a-ULTIMATE SHOPPER) (2-1) - Talented entry has different trainers but is coupled due to common ownership. "Ultimate Shopper" is the more talented of the pair and has blazing early speed. Both her wins have come at this distance and she draws a nice outside post to gun from. "Evening Show" hasn't raced since Dec. 1, and mare has gone 9-3-4-0 overall. Working fast for her return speed/stalker is in a barn (Steve Klesaris) that wins at a 30% clip off of long layoffs.
2nd pick: #5 (Katie's Garden) (5-2) - Lightly-raced home-bred has gone 4-2-1-1 overall and broke her maiden at Santa Anita on Jan. 12. Daughter of "Elusive Quality" is working very fast for her come-backer and one run type should get a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
3rd pick: #6 (Misszippityslewda) (7-2) - Home bred daughter of "City Zip" is 6-2-4-0 when racing on the dirt and stalker ran second after a stumbling start at this level at Belmont on June 29th. She's worked fast twice here since that fine effort and must be left in the mix.
