Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CHOMSKY) (7-2) - He's had a lot of chances, but has been competitive many times facing tougher. Stalker is racing second back of of several layoffs and is shortening up in distance. Trainer Mark Hennig drops him into a claimer for the first time and has Irad Ortiz Jr. (who won four races here yesterday) is back aboard following a one race absence.
nd pick: #1 (Condominium) (12-1) - Well bred and fast from the gate, he's another dropping into a claimer for the first time. Working well locally, he has the rail and late last August he finished second here. Dangerous at a big price.
rd pick: #7 (Onlytheshadowknows) (5-2) - Lightly-raced gelding has been competitive in all three starts facing better. Un-raced for the past three months, he's dropping into a claimer for the first time and is shortening up in distance. He should factor in this spot.
th pick: #4 (Tree Top Lover) (10-1) - Four-year-old gelding moves up in class in his first off a Dave Jacobson claim (17%). He's finished second in three of four dirt races and speed/stalker is a threat at long odds.
th pick: #9 (Greyjoy) (8-1) - His lack of any early speed is a big negative, but stretch runner has rallied to finish second in his last three dirt starts and should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
