Veteran New York bred mare finished a close up third at this level going seven furlongs at Belmont July 3. She likes the local turf 4-2-1-0 and stretch runner draws a ground saving inside post. Can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #2 (Sentiero Italia) (8-5) - The morning line favorite, lightly-raced 4-year-old has been on the sidelines since Oct 31. She finished fourth that day in the G1 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf Stakes. Talented Godolphin home bred won the G2 Lake Placid Stakes here a year ago and is an obvious strong win candidate, but at a short price.
