She's worked three times here for her second attempt, is moving from turf to dirt, and I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Dial Me Up) (4-1) - She's been out of action since finishing a pace-setting 2nd when debuting at this level and distance Nov. 29 at Aqueduct. Bet down to 8-5 favoritism that afternoon, she's worked four times locally for her return and does so with both Lasix and Irad Ortiz, Jr. added.
3rd pick: #5 (Valetta) (3-1) - This well-bred filly is shortening up in distance following a series of mile races on both turf and dirt. Sold privately for $65,000 following a good effort June 20 at Churchill Downs, she worked fast at Belmont July 10 and has Javier Castellano aboard.
4th pick: #7 (Grand Chemin) (10-1) - This homebred tired late when debuting here at this level going 8.5 furlongs on the grass Aug. 11. Unraced since, she's been in steady training here since mid-June and enters this off a bullet half-mile in 00:47.20 July 10. She's a threat at a square price if ready.
