Son of "Indian Charlie" finished a solid third facing tougher that afternoon and did so despite a "stumbling' beginning. Working fast for Bill Mott, and 5-year-old draws a nice outside post at this 6.5 furlong distance.
2nd pick: #1 (Blind Hope) (4-1) - Gelding raced evenly here facing tougher on July 20th in his first since late May. Consistent 15-4-1-3 when facing cheaper, he has a speed/stalking style and draws the rail.
3rd pick: #2 (Majestic Number) (7-2) - Lightly-raced colt rom the Pletcher barn ships up from Monmouth and has been sharp this year in four straight appearances. Stalker fits with these and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Take Down Two) (8-1) - Veteran is making his 90th start today and to his credit he still brings a "good game' He's gone 21-5-3-7 over the past 18 months and runs first back off a Contessa re-claim. Stalker ran second here the day he was taken back and has worked fast twice since.
