2nd pick: #3 (Saturday Appeal) (5-2) - He's been razor sharp in three straight starts and has finished second in two straight at this meet. Last out he missed by a "nose" at this level and distanvce and he's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Writing on the Wall) (7-2) - Old timer has more lifetime wins (16) than the rest of the field combined (15). The main speed, he's two for two on the main track here and stretches back out after defeating "open" mid-level starter-allowance foes here going 7-furlongs July 25th. He's worked fast since and is in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #4 (Ultimate Empire) (6-1) - He chased and tired from a tough post here July 20th. There is speed on both sides of him for this attempt and he'll need a careful ride from jockey Irad Ortiz Jr.
