Top pick: #3 (WHO'S Z DADDY) (8-5) - He finished third here at this level going 6.5-furlongs Aug 15. Lightly-raced 4-year-old was probably best that day as he received a very poor ride down the stretch. Stalker enters in shape and trainer Dave Jacobson has a different jockey aboard. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Royal Burgh) (9-2) - He was entered and scratched recently at Monmouth from a longer race and will be sprinting in this spot. Lightly-raced gelding is from the Pletcher barn and is dropping in class for his second back from a seven month layoff. Well bred 3-year-old should factor against this group.
3rd pick: #2 (Fit to Keep) (5-1) - Strong finisher is another taking a class drop. New York bred tired after an extremely wide trip here facing state-bred allowance foes Aug 2. He had rallied to miss by a 'neck' in his previous start racing at this level. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #7 (Cosmo Storm) (8-1) - Colt is moving out in the gate after four straight inside posts. Speed/stalker has had to be sent hard in each of those and last out had to do so after being 'bumped' hard at the break. Can factor today at a big price.
