Top pick: #4 (RUNNING TAP) - Good barn (Bob Hess Jr.) drops his price in half, sends him turf to dirt, and stretches him out in distance. He's never raced this low, and Hess also puts blinkers back on after a two race absence, and names Dominguez. Lots of things to like.
2nd pick: #6 (Take a Walk) - Claimed out of his maiden win by Gary Contessa for $16K he raced evenly facing "open" $20K claimers on the grass here on Opening Day(July 22). Drops, moves back to the dirt, and can be a threat at a nice price.
3rd pick: #3 (Fiji Star) - He raced evenly sprinting on the grass July 29 and had some traffic issues that afternoon. Race was his first in a half-year and trainer Ken McPeek will drops him slightly, move him to the dirt, and stretch him out a bit in distance.
