Top pick: #4 (FUTURISTIC) - Returns this afternoon from almost a two-month break from trainer Mike Maker. Colt has been competitive in all but one start and this barn excels off of short breaks (30%). The top selection at a square price.
2nd pick: #11 (Immortal Eyes) - Had some promise at one time but he obviously has some big-time physical issues. Races today off almost an 11-month break, but he's in a good barn (Angel Penna Jr.) and gelding races in a claimer for the first time. Speed threat against these.
3rd pick: #6 (Chief Tomoka) - Drops and goes turf to dirt for his second back off a long break. Son of "Malibu Moon" is set for his best.
4th pick: #10 (Kicky Tune) - Drops and goes second off a three-month freshening. Showed good speed in his return and has a nice local drill since coming from Kentucky. Barn (Ken McPeek) names his go-to rider (Robbie Albarado).
