Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (APPEALING BRIEFS) (3-1) - This strong finisher rallied to miss by a 1/2-length July 15 at Belmont racing at this level and distance. It was his first start since Jan. 28, and he can take this with a bit of improvement. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #10 (Follow the Signs) (5-2) - Colt is from the barn of leading trainer Chad Brown. Competitive in all four starts, two of those were scheduled for the turf, but were switched to the main track. Speed/stalker will be on the grass for the first time and is a solid win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Summer Mischief) (4-1) - Lightly raced colt stretches out in distance after rallying to finish 3rd at this level going six furlongs on the Belmont grass July 3. Only his second start, it was a big step forward off his main track debut May 6. He has the rail and must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #7 (Hoboe) (9-2) - Grey son of 'Macho Uno' rallied to finish 3rd at Belmont July 15. He clearly prefers the turf and was just under a length in back of 'Appealing Briefs' in that contest.
