Top pick: #7 (JET ALLEY) (7-2) - Debuting colt is in a fine out-of-state barn (Mike Trombetta) and this son of "Flower Alley" has some impressive works on his morning tab. Initially prepared at Laurel, home bred had a big bullet half-mile breeze there July 12th before shipping north. He's followed that up with two fine local drills and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Thirtysilverpieces) (12-1) - He tired badly while being forced wide when debuting here facing tougher on July 26th. Excellent 2-year-old barn (Wesley Ward) brings him back quickly and he drops this Ramsey home-bred down a bit. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Dangerous Cowboy) (8-1) - Trainer Linda Rice has been hot here the past several days and she sends out this debuting colt for her uncle (former trainer Clyde Rice). The works are deceptively solid and Clyde at one time was a pretty good man with juveniles.
4th pick: #2 (Radamel) (12-2) - Initially prepared at Gulfstream, this colt has a pair of fine local breezes since arriving and they didn't ship from Florida for the water. Capable barn (Mario Morales) has Saez signed on.
