2nd pick: #2 (Determined One) (9-2) - Lightly raced 4yo tired while wide from an outside post at this level and distance on the Belmont turf July 3. It was his first since a near miss on the Aqueduct dirt Feb. 16 and can factor with a repeat of that effort.
3rd pick: #3 (Long Island City) (5-1) - Speedy 3yo switches back to the dirt after being competitive in one of two at this level on the grass at Belmont. He ran well debuting on the Aqu dirt March 15 and should be in this from gate-to-wire.
4th pick: #8 (Bank Gala) (6-1) - This 4yo has tired while wide in two straight facing tougher. They came after he returned from a three-month freshening, and he's been sharp at this level in the past. Homebred must be left in the mix.
