Top pick: #2 (SUNDAY SPLITTSVILLE) - Son of "Grand Slam" showed big speed in his debut and after being involved in a pace battle his rider lost his whip and colt had to settle for a close-up third-place finish. Has a sharp drill at Belmont before heading here and he's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (William's Prayer) - Colt by "Lion Heart" finished fourth when debuting on the turf at Belmont and that experience combined with the Richard Dutrow/Ramon Dominguez combination (38% when teamed-up) makes this youngster a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2b (Future Empire) - Coupled in the wagering with the top selection he's well-bred ("Empire Maker") in a winning barn (Mike Hushion), and is working well.
4th pick: #7 (Kid Curry) - Son of the "win early" sire "Posse" chased and tired when debuting in the Belmont mud June 10. Working nicely since and his veteran trainer (Stanley Hough) will add blinkers this afternoon. Live price play.
