Top pick: #1 (BACK ROOM DEAL) - Gelding comes off a nice effort at Belmont July 7th that saw him rally while wide to finish third at this price-tag going 7 furlongs on the grass. Trainer Ralph Nicks stretches him back out and believe he's sitting on a big race.
2nd pick: #2 (Sports Day) - Improving colt by "Tiznow' moves back to the grass after rallying from far back to finish second on the Churchill dirt June 23rd. 4-year-old has a nice effort showing last winter at Gulfstream racing on the turf, a pair of sharp local drills, and is a stretch threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Gnostic) - Colt by "Dynaformer" takes a big drop in price today off a so-so effort at belmont racing for a $65K tag July 13th. He's never raced this low and trainer Bill Mott has him making back-to-back starts for the first time since March. Win candidate.
4th pick: #10 (Bundestag) - English-bred is four months shy of his sixth birthday and is still looking for his first win. He's gone (13-0-4-2) on the turf and is a threat if he can avoid a wide trip from this very difficult outside post.
