Originally campaigned in Ireland, she's gone 3-1-1-1 since coming back to North America and was a sharp winner of the rich "Belmont Oaks Invitational" (G1) July 5th. Daughter of "Smart Strike" has been training nothing but bullets on the local turf and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Xcellence) (2-1) - The second of the Brown fillies, she was four back of "Minorette" last out at Belmont in her first start in North America. She was very wide that hot afternoon and this French-bred filly should love today's cooler tempts. Lasix is added and it's noted that she kept nothing but top company in France. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Crown Queen) (5-2) - The field's wild card, this filly cost a whopping $1,600,000 when sold as a weanling back in Nov. of 2011 at Keeneland. She's won two in a row and makes her stakes debut off a very impressive allowance win here going 9.5-furlongs July 20th. In the Mott barn and she may have a very bright future.
