Top pick: #4 (TORRONE ) - Lightly-raced filly was very impressive in her maiden win at Belmont July 4. Racing against fellow state-breds for the first time she rocketed out of the gate and went wire-to-wire and seemingly won with a lot in reserve. Her trainer (Kiaran McLaughlin) has picked-up some steam over the past few days following a slow start here.
2nd pick: #8 (Healthy Debate) - Very fast and she's won four in a row this year after coming back from a 7 month layoff. Scratched yesterday from a turf stakes to await this spot she draws the best post at this trip to gun from. Very tough if she clears early.
3rd pick: #5 (Tapaline) - She was sent hard last out (for no apparent reason) as her best races have come from a stalking spot. Filly can be dangerous at a nice price if her connections revert to that tactic.
