Mare had the rail that day and had to be sent hard at the break. The move out in the gate is a plus and there's plenty of speed for her to track. Gets a slight edge in a solid field.
2nd pick: #4 (Image of Noon) (6-1) - Grey home bred was only 1 1/2 lengths back of "Sangria" last out and was forced 7-wide when turning for home. Strong finisher is a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #8 (Hot Squeeze) (7-2) - Extremely quick from the gate, she's seeking to become the first repeat winner at this year's meet. Daughter of "Latent Heat" went gate-to-wire at this distance to win an entry-level allowance for fellow state-breds on July 23rd. Lightly-raced and she's undefeated (2-for-2) here at this trip.
4th pick: #10 (Uncle Southern) (8-1) - She exits the same Belmont race as both "Sangria" and "Image" and was only beaten 3 1/2 lengths for the top prize. Stalker draws a tough post but if she can avoid a wide trip, filly can be a factor.
