Top pick: #2 (THESCREENISRED) - The probable favorite, grey filly has been competitive in all three starts and last out she finished 2nd here at this level and distance July 28th. She had a tough outside post and did well despite a very wide trip in a contest that saw her finish in front of 6 of this afternoon's rivals.
2nd pick: #6 (Princess Jenny) - Lightly raced 4yo was less than a length off of "Thescreenisred" last out and did so after being "bumped" lightly at the start. Runs 3rd back off a 5 1/2 month layoff and Dominguez stays put.
3rd pick: #8 (Given Fire) - Daughter of "Point Given" raced evenly when debuting in a Belmont grass sprint April 28th, then 7 weeks later she tired after pressing the pace in a contest that was switched to the main-track. Working fast for this, trainer Seth Benzel will race her without blinkers for the first time.
4th pick: #12 (Carey Princess) - Very speedy grey filly tired badly here in the same race as the top two selections but had finished close-up at Belmont in her previous pair. This outside post is a good one for her style and she can factor at an anticipated big price.
