Top pick: #2 (KNOCKHER OFF) (6-5) - Lightly raced grey gelding has raced well in all three starts, and is working very fast for his first since Dec. 15th. Home-bred by "Unbridled's Song" will be trying the grass for the first time, but is bred to like the surface, and he meets a weak field.
2nd pick: #7 (Acigarisjustacigar) (6-1) - Son of the popular "Freud" has run "sneakily" well in both local starts, and the fields in each were better than these overall. Colt moves off the inside, and gets a big rider upgrade to Irad Ortiz for this attempt.
3rd pick: #3 (Irish Etiquette) (4-1) - Grey gelding by the recently deceased "Rockport Harbor" stalked, bid to a short lead, and weakened in the final 1/16th here on Aug. 5th. Race was his first since late Sep., a positive experience, and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #9 (Animal Rights) (8-1) - Longshot makes his first start since late October when he raced evenly from a tough outside post at this level at Belmont Park. Home-bred could grab a share at a big price if ready.
