Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (GOOD SHABBOS) (5-2) - NOTE: This race has been taken 'off the turf' and will be run on the main track at the same distance. This daughter of 'Munnings' has finished 2nd in both starts, each at this level going 5.5 furlongs. Filly missed by a 'nose' when debuting June 1 at Monmouth, then lost by a 1/2-length here July 12. $190K purchase has worked three times since and gets a slight edge today.
2nd pick: #7 (Sharing) (2-1) - A $350K filly by 'Speightstown,' she rallied strongly to miss by a 'neck' debuting here at this level and distance on the grass July 21. Trainer Graham Motion leaves her in this switched contest, and she's an obvious threat.
3rd pick: #9 (Gloriously) (6-1) - The field's only 'main track only' entrant, home bred by 'Mucho Macho Man' tired after racing close up debuting here at this level and distance July 31. Trainer Jimmy Jerkens wins at a 24% rate second time out and is adding Lasix (32%).
4th pick: #1 (Americano Girl) (3-1) - A debuting filly in the barn of Chad Brown (20% first out), this daughter of 'Medaglia d'Oro' sold for $700,000 last Sept. at Keeneland. She worked a quick half-mile from the gate here July 14 and must be left in the mix.
