Premium Pick

Top pick: #3 (PURE SENSATION) (5-2) - Grey colt just missed here at this level and distance when debuting on July 25th. Well-backed that afternoon, he's worked since and the horse that beat him first out came right back to win the $200k "Saratoga Special" (G2) this past Sunday.

2nd pick: #8 (Pecorino) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Son of "Afleet Alex" is owned by celebrity chef Bobby Flay and colt finished second here when debuting on July 22nd. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #9 (Aaron's Orient) (6-1) - On the also-eligible list, he chased and tired while finishing up fourth in the same race that "Sensation" debuted in. The Asmussen barn is having a strong meet and is always better second time out (currently 24%).

4th pick: #7 (Divine Energy) (7-2) - Grey colt is the second of the Pletcher duo and has some fine works showing as he makes his debut. Son of "Tapit" cost $390K as a yearling and may sneak away at a square price as stable rider "Johnny V" sticks with "Pecorino."
