Top pick: #1 (FOOTCANDLES) - Races third back of a year's layoff and he finished a strong second here at this level in the slop on "Opening Day". He's worked well since, has a flexible style, and he draws the rail. The call in a nice allowance.
2nd pick: #2 (Bulldogger) - He really impressed here last year in his debut as he broke sharply and led every step to win easily and earn a "high" figure. He didn't race again for a half-year finishing third in his return at Santa Anita, and now has been off another five months. Obviuosly has his share of problems but he's spotted to win by a top barn (Bob Baffert). Almost put him on top.
3rd pick: #6 (No Macho Anymore) - Another long range returnee that has talent. He won at Belmont when debuting July 16 of '09, then finished second in the grade 3 "Sapling" at Monmouth seven weeks later. Working fast for his first race in almost a year and a big threat if ready.
