Top pick: #7 (ALBANY ROAD) - Lightly raced home-bred by the Gainesway Farm he races 2nd back off a 7 month layoff and he finished close-up in his return run at Monmouth. In one of the best turf barns around (Chris Clement) and gelding by Mr. Greeley appears all set.
2nd pick: #3 (Sephardic) - He ran well going 7 furlongs in his debut then had a very poor getaway last out before racing evenly. Trainer Mark Hennig adds the "hood", and Johnny V., who was aboard in his debut is back aloft. Price play.
3rd pick: #10 (Il Senatore) - Much improved this year over last and he's just missed in three straight state-bred races on the grass. Obvious win candidate , but his outside post hurts him just a bit.
4th pick: #2 (Roulette Winner) - Appears to be the type that can "run all day' and he runs today off a very wide trip when he wasn't beaten much. Races 3rd back off a layoff for a sneakily good turf barn (Phil Serpe).
