2nd pick: #1 (Sanfiera) (2-1) - Speed filly has the rail and will be racing on the main track for the first time. Unusual mare did not race until she was 6-year-olds. Competitive here last year at this level sprinting on the grass, she runs today of a 10 month layoff.
3rd pick: #3 (Pira) (5-1) - She has some early speed and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Home bred has tired after race close up when facing much tougher foes and is a threat today on the big drop in class.
4th pick: #2 (Show Giant) (6-1) - Another with some speed, she tired here facing weaker on a sloppy surface Aug 1. Three-year-old did hold to finish fourth in what was her first race in 2.5 months. Can be a factor at a square price.
